XL Uranium Glass Scallop Shell, hand poured by me into a drop mould. I use solid uranium glass gathered out of a furnace heated to over 2100 degrees F. Each of these XL shells ways 14 to 16 oz. Almost or equal to a pound of solid glass. As with most hand made glass objects, you may find bubbles and an irregular surface on the backs of the shells. The surface images are crisp and may show the occasional “straw mark” or chill mark as it is challenging getting so much glass to flow freely. The shells average almost 3” wide and almost an inch thick.
