This vintage ceramic stamp and pen holder from The Artists Barn in Fillmore, California, features a cute hound dog design that is perfect for dog lovers. The beige color and mid-century modern style make it a great addition to any desktop. The dog holder includes a slot where the dog mouth is where the stamps are dispensed out of, and the roll is stopped under the dog. In the top tail section of the dog there's s hole where you can store your pen, on the dog's back there's a space to either hold small items but I think it was actually a spot to put a fan of water. The stamps back then had to be liked, so u bet you would get a stamp from the mouth, then dip the back of the stamp in his back to wet it, then place it in your embellishments So clever! This little dog will make a fun suiting to your vintage desk. The back is stamped with the backstamp of the artist. This is a unique piece of art pottery that was manufactured in the United States in the 1960s. Collectors of vintage decorative pottery and glassware will appreciate this charming item.
