Springmount Pottery was started in 1970 in Creswick, Victoria, Australia by master potter Doug Alexander who sold the business to Tina Banitska in 1976. She continued to produce the much sought-after pottery featuring hand-painted local animals and plant life until 2012 when Springmount shut down for good. This rare vase features lovely red blossoms, lots of gold trim, and is signed on the bottom. It measures 5 5/8 inches tall by 3 inches wide and is in excellent vintage condition with just a small blemish from when it was fired (see photo).
