Santa Barbara Ceramic Design was established in 1976 with initial production using only a wheels, akiln, brushes and colorants. In the initial years, the company produced intricate, colorful, hand-painted flora and fauna designs on traditional pottery forms, primarily vases and table lamps. Although artistically aligned with turn-of-the-century art potteries, the techniques used were unique and developed within the studio. These early pieces were thrown while the mid-1980 saw a transition to casting, except for experimental or custom pieces. This Authentic piece bear the artist’s initials, 10-80 and “SBCD” marked in black stain. Pristine preowned condition with no chips or cracks. 6.75” tall 2.75” base 3” top 2” opening
