For auction is a miniature vase made by Tiffany Studios, New York. This vase is quite petite as it measures 2 1/16" tall and is 2 1/4" in diameter at it bulbous bottom. This vase displays a unique shape for a glass vessel. It kinds of reminds me of the antique Top toys you would press down and they would spin. It also looks like an inkwell or perfume shape as well. It is definitely a vase though. It is further decorated with an Art Nouveau pattern that resembles feathering. When looking at the bottom the base glass seems to be an agate type glass. When held to the light this agate color shows in the decoration from the inside. The rest of the glass is a translucent olive green. The decoration of Gold Iridescence outlining the gold is simply beautiful as you can see Fuchsia and Platinum blues. The top rim is fire polished and is a beautiful blue Favrile when looking straight in. This vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings to any of the glass. There is a small area where the iridescence did not take and this is pictured. When held to the light you can see the vase was used but unlit you cannot. There are a few minor scratches but nothing too obtrusive. The vase is signed on the bottom exterior edge "L.C.T." for Louis Comfort Tiffany along with " U 4831 ". The vase can be dated by the prefix letter U. This vase was made circa 1904. Its amazing it has not been damaged in 120 years. Those of you who collect Tiffany Favrile miniature vases and want an nice example in form and condition look no further. These miniatures are very hard to find. PLEASE READ BELOW I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
