Iridescent Studio Art Glass Egg Paperweight 6 1/8" Tall Attributed to Vandermark Description and Item Information Up for sale is this beautiful egg-shaped art glass paperweight or sculpture. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This multicolored piece has a band of pulled feather type decoration. The finish is subtly iridescent. The egg is approximately 6 1/8 inches tall, with a maximum diameter of about 3 1/2 inches. Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 12.5 ounces. The base is flat and there is a small hole at its center. This would be a good addition to a collection of studio art glass. Identification This art glass egg is attributed to Vandermark. It is not marked as such, but the size, shape, and colors are very much like Vandermark pieces. Oddly, this has a spurious, engraved marking suggesting that it is L. C. Tiffany Favrile glass, which it is not. The reason for that marking is not known, and it is not being represented as such. The age of this piece is not known, but it is likely vintage. Condition The egg looks great overall, with no cracks or chips. It has very fine wear marks beneath.
