Impressive Fritz Heckert vase in the Jodhpur range, tine polychrome translucent enamelling and gilded. Heckert took the design from engraved and enameled copper vessels found in the Bidri and Jodhpur Provinces in Northern India. This vase is featured in the Fritz Heckert book (p112) and it is the earliest design in the Jodhpur range. Fritz Heckert produced probably the best enamelling work of any German glass house. They produced until 1923. Vase has small blemish/ scratch on rim, I tried to show it the best I could. See photos!
