Henderson uses clay that is natural Earthenware, and his pieces are wheel-turned, or less frequently, drape or slump molded. Every piece is handmade and hand decorated. The historic decoration techniques used by Henderson's Redware are either Slip Trailing, Sgraffito (Noth Devon Tradition), or Daubing with a manganese dioxide stain.
