Antique art tile, 6 in. square, professionally framed for display. Brown transferware in the Aesthetic taste. White body, so presumably porcelain. Visible vertical crazing, but no chips seen. Some gray staining on tile sides, as from age or installation. The tile is floated on a linen ground in a burlwood-effect shadow box, 9-1/4-in. square. I see a small rust-colored spot on the linen above the tile. Frame is tight but scratched—see pix.
