This is an original 1930s Art Deco flower frog made of ceramic, featuring a Dolphin design in oxblood red with gold detailing. I don't think the piece was ever used since the surface shows no ware. This elegantly stylized Dolphin Flower Frog is very close to perfect, but it does have at its basea small crack.
