Brilliant Cut, HingedJewelry CasketPairpoint Up for auction is an antique Pairpoint, Cut Glass, Hinged, Jewelry Casket or Jewel Box with a Silver Plate Rim. The cover of the brilliant cut glass casket features a single rose surrounded by two different styles of leaves. The sides feature two rows of cut ovals, separated by cross hatch designs between them, while the bottom has a star burst design at the base. The piece stands approximately 4 inches tall (when measured to the top of the closed cover), and approximately 7.5 inches across at its widest point. The antique jewelry casket is in fair, vintage condition only, as there is a large crack to the base, at the location of the hinge. In addition, there is some wear to the silver plate of the rim.
