Offered is an Arts and Crafts era Muncie Pottery vase Shape 104 decorated in the green over rose drip glaze. The vase is marked with a single hand incised K. This mark probably reflects the hand-finisher and decorator responsible for the pot's production and dates the vase between 1925 and 1927. See page 30 and page 33 of Rand and Eckleman's "Collector's Encyclopedia of Muncie Pottery" for details and a picture of a similar mark. The vase is 6 inches tall. Its width measures 6 1/2 inches across the handles. The inside diameter of the opening is 3 1/2 inches. It sits on a base with a 3 1/2 inch diameter. Excellent condition no cracks, chips, breaks or repairs. Several glaze misses that that expose the underlying white clay most conspicuously 4 spots near the base ring of one side. The glaze irregularities are in the photographs.
