Robert Held Art Glass - Long Neck Vase Impressionist Flask Robert Held's unique designs are created using techniques developed over 2,000 years ago. This piece began as molten glass gathered onto the end of a "blowpipe". Colored glass containing minerals such as copper, cobalt or gold is added to create the final decoration. The glass is then both mouth-blown and and hand-formed into its final shape. After being gradually annealed (cooled), the glass is ground, polished and signed.
